Skunk

Long-hair fur – primarily coyotes and bobcats – dominated the second OTC sale.  Prices were a bit disappointing on these items – a reflection of the market, which is more selective on these goods than in previous years.  Big heavy coyotes and heavy, pale, well-spotted cats fetched top dollar while the ordinary, commercial quality goods brought what the trappers thought to be mediocre prices.  Otter prices remain strong, even on the darker colors.  Prices on beaver and red fox were in line with current market conditions.  Small offerings of muskrat, raccoon, nutria, mink, and other items make market comparisons difficult.  Antler and porcupine guard hair prices were reflective of the quality of the goods offered
